Proficiency test result

• Congratulations to Julie, Chelsea, and Alessandra for passing Japanese proficiency test, level 3.

Speech contest

• Chelsea G was chosen one of the Japanese speech contest participants in North Eastern Conference. She is the second student who was chosen to receive this honor from WLC! Our former student, Julie S. won the title of National Speech Contest in 2005.  This year, the speech contest will be held at United Nation International School in New York on March 26th.  The first place will be invited to participate in the National Speech Contest in LA. 

Exchange student/teacher

• Our former student, Eric H will be serving as an English assistant teacher for this summer at Oodate Kokusai Joohoo Gakuin High School in Akita.
• Sarah T left for Japan on April 4th and she will be attending to a Japanese high school in Tokyo for the next three months. She has studied Japanese at WLC for almost three years.
• We will be welcoming a Japanese high school exchange student from Fukuoka, Japan for this summer. (If you wish to become a host family this summer, please contact us for more detailed information.
