My love for language and education started when I was a young girl attending Maryland public schools. My very first experience learning a second language came in the 1st grade when my parents enrolled me in an after school Spanish program. Since that course, I have worked hard to become fluent in Spanish and Portuguese. My languages have provided me with the opportunity to travel the world and as Nelson Mandela would say, "speak to the heart of the people not just to their heads".

Along with being the owner of World Language Centers, I am also a Marland public school teacher specializing in the Spanish Immersion education program and a full-time university professor.

I am also proud to say that my 3 children are also fluent in Spanish, which was not an easy undertaking. So, I understand how challenging it can be for parents that have children in an immersion program that may not know the language being taught. It can feel overwhelming, but you are not alone.

That is why I started my company, to help you and your child succeed both in school and beyond the classroom.
